Bangladesh is located in central-south Asia and bordered by Bay-of-Bengal, India and Myanmar successively. It is positioned
at both the Eastern and Northern Hemispheres and in the Indian
subcontinent. Bangladesh has six seasons where winter goes second place
according to the duration. In the present year 2013 Bangladesh has seen
the lowest temperature in last four decades.
According to the weather forecast department of Bangladesh, on Wednesday 9th January Dinajpur district recorded 3.2 degree Celsius which is almost near to the lowest temperature 2.8 degree Celsius recorded at Srimangal in 1968. In the history of Bangladesh it is first time when people is watching the lowest temperature around the country and for 3 to 4 consecutive days.
Most of the districts of Northern part of
the country suffer most to this cold. In the mean time some of the
districts of Bangladesh are recording temperature as bellow 5 degree Celsius.
The poorer to little rich Peoples of rural areas don't get salvation
from this cold. Including capital Dhaka is watching the cold wave from 3
days and it might last for more two days. Though the Peoples of all
ages don't get relief from this cold wave but the baby and oldest are affected as more.
People of different districts who lives in rural zone or villages don't move to their work or field in this time. Different types of diseases such as pneumonia, dysentery and other diseases due to high cold are affected to the Peoples of Bangladesh. Everyday few peoples are died due to extreme lowest temperature. Agricultural researchers of Bangladesh predict an extreme loss over seasonal crops. The other animals of Bangladesh also don't get release from this cold wave
Government of Bangladesh has taken some steps to prevent this disaster and protect the affected Peoples. They are giving blankets or other warm cloths to the Peoples of affected area.
Many voluntary organizations and teams are working to get improve from this worth situation. The conscious Peoples and leaders of social organizations are looking for more relief from the rich people of the country.
